I am all about doing things in the easiest and most efficient manner. I am well organized and a planner. I apply these principles to everything I do. Even when I am searching the Internet for a software program to download for burning my CDs, I will go with the one that is the easiest to use. I like to see the big old words “Download Here” or “click here” right there on the upper part of the webpage. I certainly like to see that before the fold, because sometimes I do not scroll down all the way. If the download link is down at the bottom of the page, I may miss it.

AVG Free Email Scanner

July 19th, 2010

My friends and family forward me a lot of those emails with attachments usually cute pictures, jokes, or stories.  I like a lot of the pictures and jokes, but they fill up my email inbox pretty quickly.  I don’t want to be rude by asking them not to send them so I usually read a couple and delete the rest.  I clicked on one this morning and AVG free, my free antivirus software that I have had on my computer for a long time warned me not to open it because it contained a virus.  So I quickly deleted the offending email.  I was so glad it was detected.  Then I did a quick scan on my computer just to be on the safe side.

July 19th, 2010

The last time I went on vacation, I got my best exchange rates when I went to the bank. I had asked my banker here at home what I should do because, you know, every penny counts these days! So the best options he gave me were to either use my ATM card, go to the post office or go to the bank. He told me to check with my hotel to find out where the nearest post office was. He also gave me a list of the banks he recommended for me to use while I was in Paris and also showed which other towns the bank had branches in.

Worth It?

July 18th, 2010

I said that I wanted to get some fake frangipani tattoos to see how they would look if I were to really get them permanently done. I have done the same thing before which I think is awesome to be able to add something to your body first without it being permanent and it being removable. I think it is a great thing that some places offer two week temporary tattoos. For you to test it out is huge, you get to temporarily see if this is something you want long term. You get to ask your self really is this worth it?

As a doctor I get asked all of the time what causes back pain. Unfortunately sometimes there is just not an answer to that question. That is always very hard for me. I do not like to face patients and let them know that I can not help them at this time but sometimes all I can do is treat their pain. I can always see the disappointment on their faces and that just about kills me. It is not something that a doctor likes to do at all. There are times when I can not even treat the pain.
