By 2008, Aptera started hiring people well known with their projects in the automobile industry. There is Neil Heinmann who led projects such as the Dodge Viper and Ford GT, as SVP for Program Management and Development. They also hired Tony Kirton who was Director for Marketing for Audi America before. Paul Wilbur now stands as CEO amidst of controversies that some people where ousted to get the positions in Aptera. There is also Marques McCammon who previously worked with Wilbur at American Specialty Cars. The Chief Engineer of Aptera is Tom Reichenbach who was formerly the Vehicle Engineer Manager for Ford GT and Shelby GT 500.
