I don’t think anyone can really understand the stress and tension that is experienced by a military spouse unless you have dealt with an deployment yourself. It’s been really hard and I’ve had to be stronger than I though possible. However, having him come home was the best day of our lives. I jumped in the VW Polo and drove to the rendezvous point hours before it was scheduled, just because I knew I couldn’t sit and wait any longer. Luckily, we were able to text each other while he was being debriefed and such and it really helped pass the time.
