My family mostly live in cities and can never understand why my husband and I decided to leave our high stress jobs to live in the country. As if buying a farmhouse wasn’t different enough, we decided we wanted to learn how to raise pigs after attending a local fair and speaking to a 4-H representative. Our vet and neighbors taught us how to care for our first little piglets and we grew attached to them. We have loved every minute of this new adventure, even when it meant being covered in mud. Mom and Dad just shake their heads when they see me happily running after an escaped pig, but my husband definitely gets the joke.
