As per usual, we headed down to Taupo for a long weekend to make the most of the amazing weather that had been forecast. We checked in to taupo motel as we normally do and then headed straight for the lake. Our friends who live down there had invited us to join them on another friends boat for a day of cruising, picnics and a dip in the lake. We were very happy that the forecast held true and we had 3 days of beautifully hot sunny weather. Hopefully we will manage to get back there at least a couple more times during the summer to take advantage of the lake and the areas activities.
